Anonymous: You've said earlier that some writing qualifications and previous experience in writing would be necessary to author a Marvel Comic. Does this have no exception? How damn good would a script or amateur comic book or et cetera have to be for you to accept me as a writer. On a scale of Clone Saga to Eisner worthy, how good would it have to be?

It wouldn’t matter how good it was, as Marvel accepts no unsolicited submissions, so it wouldn’t be read. So no, there are no exceptions.

Write other comics, dude. Write other things. If you’re that good, you can get some of those writing qualifications. If you’re not, you weren’t going to make it anyway.

Don’t complain that the top-selling company won’t hire you with no experience. That’s like saying Major League Baseball won’t hire you as a pitcher without you having some sort of previous experience playing baseball somewhere. Get you some.
